• Write a book review, or draw a picture from any of the READ! SOAR! EXPLORE! selected books.
• Purchase select merchandise in the Museum Store marked as a READ! SOAR! EXPLORE! Bonus Point.
• Attend the Museum Store program Planet Chat that takes place the first Wednesday of every month from 5-7:30. When you attend the program pick up you Bonus Point project. Once you have completed the assigned project and show us what you have learned you will receive a bonus point.
• Create your own edible flying saucer. Use anything in you kitchen cupboards or refridgeator that might taste good. Take lots of pictues of your space craft and write a paragraph about where this flying saucer comes from. Tell us in the Museum Store all about it!
• Draw a picture of your favorite planet, then write three facts about this planet and present it to us in the Museum Store.
• Spend some time this summer researching the Hubble Space Telescope. What is the story behind this telescope? How does it work? What do we know about the lives of stars because of it? Present to us what you learn in an interesting and creative way.
• You have spent several long summer afternoons building a time machine in you back yard. On you first voyage through time you decide to travel back in time to the day of your birth. Write a full report about that day include what was going on in the world, the people who were around, and don't forget to write about those crazy pants that your dad was wearing.
• Imagine you are a super hero and you have special powers. Draw a picture of you as this super hero, give yourself a super name and tell us all about your super powers!
• What are the Hugo and Nebula awards? Do a little research and tell us what these awards are and who has received them last year or this year.
• Visit the Alien Earths exhibit here and the Museum. Look around and see if you can answer a few questions: What is our place in space? Where did we come from? Is there life beyond Earth? What did you find out about stars and planets? Tell us what you know!

"One day in the not so distant future, I was walking through a field near the house where I grew up. Boy have things changed, I thought to my self. I was remembering what this field used to be like, there was a play ground over there where I was king of the monkey bars.
Today, I am here to meet some friends and we are going to go on the most interesting adventure. I had better double check to make sure I have packed all the supplies I am going to need.
Looking in my bag I see that I have a flashlight, 3 pieces of string, a map of Mars, a special gizmo that allows me to breath when there is little oxygen in the air, and 5 red balls.
As I was closing my bag, I was trying to remember if that was everything I would need, when I heard the most unusual noise. I looked up only to see . . .
