Our book club meets Wednesday evenings in January, April, July and October. The theme-based sessions are designed so that you can drop in any time between 5 – 8:00 pm for a fun craft, game, experiment, or a chance to meet the museum staff and find out what makes the museum such an exciting place to learn.

Moon in Race for 2188 Olympics

The Interplanetary Olympic Committe has announced that Apolloville, Moon, located near the the Sea of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis), is being considered for the 2188 Summer Games. Come help the Apolloville Olympic Committie present their final bid to the IOC.
TV Land

At this month's Planet Chat, Tracey Knierim will share stories about what she’s learned from the Big & Little Brown Bats living on her Geauga County farm. Bird Banding: Stories from the Net

Catching birds in almost invisible nets has revealed details about the lives of birds. Understanding avian migration, population and survival rates helps us learn why over half of our bird species are declining. At this month's Planet Chat, Julie West, Shaker Lakes Nature Center Avian Research Technician, will share bird banding stories captured in the mist net. Free with Museum admission.
