Copper was one of the first metals smelted from ores and used for functional purposes.  This beautiful piece of copper was mined in Keweenaw County, Michigan.  The Keweenaw Peninsula, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, is home to the largest native copper deposit in the world.   This piece measures approximatly 3.5" long and 2.5" inches from top to bottom.
