| Orthoceras is a fossil mollusk, belonging to the class Cephalopoda, that once lived in the ocean. It is caaracterized by having a shell divided into chambers. The animal itself lived in the outermost chamber and had a beaked head and tentacles. Orthoceras can be traced back to the mid-Cambrian period of the Paleozoic era, over 500 million years ago. Sold individually each orthoceras varies in size. |
