European settlers in Ohio from the early 19th century described its vast grasslands (Prairie is French for "meadow"). These writing describe the prairies, noting the plants and animals encountered there. We will be visiting one of the largest remaining prairies in Ohio, Resthaven Wildlife Area. We'll be on the lookout for critters not known from Northeast Ohio.

Limit: 16.
Naturalist certificate hours (B & C): 5.
