Sharpen your stargazing and telescope skills with this four-session course in basic astronomy. This is a follow-up course to last spring’s Night Skies for Novices. Explore the highlights of the night sky in autumn and get a sneak preview of coming attractions for night skies in winter. You'll learn to identify prominent constellations and their brighter stars, nebulae and galaxies, and pick up tips for observing and imaging these celestial objects with your telescope. This course will make use of the Shafran Planetarium and Mueller Observatory. Limit 10. Naturalist Certificate Hours: 8.
