Think Spring! Winter Buds at the Wendtwood Preserve
Non-Member Member

Quantity:

Saturday, November 14, 1 to 4 pm
Instructors: David Kriska, Keith Moran, Jeff Day

The leaves are falling on the ground and autumn’s colors may be fading but Mother Nature is already prepared for spring. Many trees and shrubs have already fully formed their buds, which contain miniature leaves, for next spring. Join us for a leisurely stroll through the forest of giants at the Wendtwood Preserve in Columbia Station as we learn our trees by their buds, bark and seeds, and look for other signs of how nature is preparing for the pending winter. Limit 10. Naturalist Certificate Hours: 4. Difficulty: 2.5 (1-4 scale)

Note: Directions will be emailed to participants upon registration.
