In order to be a bird there are some things you need … is it the ability to fly? Is it laying eggs? Hmmm, what does a bird have that makes it unique in the animal world? We will learn what characteristics make a bird then discover the variety of adaptations and cool things about birds from around the world! The Museum’s indoor and outdoor galleries will all be used.

Programs may include hands-on, classroom and/or gallery presentations as appropriate. Students will be grouped by age according to enrollment. Cost of program is $6/person per topic with one adult free. Siblings younger than 6 may not attend these programs for older children.

In response to requests, we are adding programs for 4 and 5 year olds. These hands-on self-directed programs will be related to the topics listed above and run from 1:15 to 2 pm on the same days. Parents are expected to attend with their child. Cost of program is $6/person per topic.
