Wild animals are very adept at caring for themselves throughout the seasons. What happens when an animal is injured or orphaned and must be cared for by people? Proper shelter, food and medical care are important concerns, but how do you satisfy their curiosity, instincts and wild behaviors? ENRICHMENT!!!! Captive animals need to play, but they need the right toys. That’s where you come into the picture: you won’t be the playmates, you will be the toymakers. Bring your best creative genius and get ready to get messy, because this is going to be a lot of fun.

Programs may include hands-on, classroom and/or gallery presentations as appropriate. Students will be grouped by age according to enrollment. Cost of program is $6/person per topic with one adult free. Siblings younger than 6 may not attend these programs for older children.

In response to requests, we are adding programs for 4 and 5 year olds. These hands-on self-directed programs will be related to the topics listed above and run from 1:15 to 2 pm on the same days. Parents are expected to attend with their child. Cost of program is $6/person per topic.
