Students will learn stars and constellations with telescopes set up outdoors at night, weather permitting. In addition, they'll participate in daytime classes to learn techniques for star chart and telescope usage, general weather prediction, recording observations, safe solar viewing, astrophotography with digital cameras, observing meteors and examining meteorites. Students will stay at the Pink Pig on the grounds of Squire Valleevue Farm. Students are required to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and to provide their own sleeping bags. Appropriate for ages: 9 to 12. Star Camp participants are chaperoned by adults and teachers at all times. Telescopes provided. Limit 12.
