Matia, Walter
Decorative stone and resin plaque of our Ohio state fossil, the Isotelus trilobite.  It is among the largest trilobites known, lived in the shallow seas that covered Ohio during the Ordovician Period, some 500 to 420 million years ago. This is a cast replica from our museum sundial, designed by Walter Matia.  Produced by our Vertebrate Paleontology casting lab at CMNH.  Not recommended as a stepping stone. 9.5 x 9.5 x .5 inches.
