| Dragonfly garden stone. This is a cast replica from our museum sundial, designed by Walter Matia. The dragonfly was chosen to represent the Pennsylvanian period due to the fact that it is one of the most ancient and admired insects that ever roamed the Earth. Some dragonflies attained huge sizes with a wing span of 70 centimeters. Produced by our Vertebrate Paleontology casting lab at CMNH. Made of Forton, a plaster based material which simulates stone and is suitable for long term outdor display. Not recommended as a stepping stone. Measures 9.5 x 9.5 x .5 inches. |
