READ! SOAR! EXPLORE!
Our book club meets Wednesday evenings in January, April, July and October.
The theme-based sessions are designed so that you can drop in any time between 4 – 7:00 pm for a fun craft, game, experiment, or a chance to meet the museum staff and find out what makes the museum such an exciting place to learn.
Every Read! Soar! Explore! month presents a unique program of events that relate to the changing exhibits in the Museum’s galleries.

Earned Points
Each event you attend you will receive an Earned Point towards a $10 gift certificate for the Museum Store.
Each designated month we will feature a selection of books from which you can build a library with interesting topics such as, nature, fossils, insects, rocks and minerals, astronomy, conservation, archaeology, dinosaurs and much more. Anyone (children, young adults, and adults) who enjoys books and reading will find something of interest. When these books are purchased in the Museum Store you will receive an Earned Point towards $10 gift certificate for the Museum Store.
Bonus Points
But that's not all . . . you will also need to collect Bonus Points. Bonus Points are projects or activities that you can do outside of the museum and then report back to us what you have learned. These can include anything from writing a book review to creating a poster about a famous astronomer or you may even take a class at the museum.
We will provide a list of suggested Bonus Point projects and you can choose what you think sounds interesting — or be creative and create your own Bonus Projects.
Once you have collected 5 Earned Points and 5 Bonus Points you will have earned a $10 gift certificate to spend in the Museum Store! Then you start collecting more points!
