Animal Care Internships
The Wildlife Resource Center at Cleveland Museum of Natural History has two animal care internship positions available this summer. These voluntary positions are a chance to develop your skills and talents in all aspects of caring for captive wildlife.
Each internship is a three month commitment, 30 hours per week including working one weekend day. This is a physically demanding position; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The focus of this position is caring for captive wildlife including mammals, reptiles and birds of prey. Typical assignments include cage cleaning, exhibit maintenance, food preparation, program presentation and assisting in providing enrichment and veterinary care.
Candidates should have career goals consistent with the field of wildlife management. Previous animal experience is desirable.
