Animal Enrichment Day: Owls and Howls
Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 11 am to 4 pm
Hoot like an owl, howl like a wolf, and hoof it on over to the Museum for a very special early Halloween!
Treat your family to a kid-friendly event celebrating animal enrichment combined with a special Halloween party at the Museum. Come in costume, help make pumpkin treats for the animals in the Perkins Wildlife Center and see what tricks they can play! Learn about the serious business of animal enrichment and then check out the animals...at work and play. Enjoy games, crafts and special animal demonstrations—all in a not-so-spooky setting!
- Hourly animal enrichment demonstrations featuring otters, foxes, raccoons, deer, bobcats and turkey vultures
- Live animal encounters
- Pumpkin decorating
- Face painting
- Mask making
- "Train the Trainer" game
Check out the debut showing of the new Sesame Street planetarium program, "One World, One Sky," made possible by The Hershey Foundation of Cleveland.
Event is free with museum admission; Children 12 and under in costume admitted free.
