Birthday Parties at CMNH

Have a birthday party that’ll go down in history!

Parents love the Museum for its educational value. Kids love it because it’s fun. Our birthday party programs combine the best of both of these qualities into an experience your child will remember for years to come.

Party basics:

• Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays only. Saturday parties start at 10:30 am or 2 pm; Sunday parties start at 2 pm.
• Parties are $200 for up to 20 people (children & adults) and $5.50 for each additional person (35 maximum). $50 non-refundable deposit required at time of registration.

Each party includes the following:

• Classroom rental for 2 hours
• Free parking for the parents of the birthday child only
• Admission to the Museum for the entire day for all party guests
• A gift for the birthday boy or girl
• A take-home banner created at the party to celebrate the day!
• Themed Cake (1/4 sheet) and assorted Juice Boxes for all participating children
• Themed party favors, placemats, tablecloths, and self-guided scavenger hunt
• A museum Birthday Specialist to assist you with the party

Add-ons:

• Private Live Animal Program: $40. Must be booked no later than 2 weeks prior to your party.
• Discounted tickets to a public Planetarium show at $3/person. Must be ordered at least one week prior to the party to receive the discount.
• Make it a Pizza Party! For an additional $25 we will include a sheet Pizza (30 slices). Other catering options are available upon request.

Want a party that's out of this world?

Our “Birthday Under the Stars” includes a PRIVATE 45 minute planetarium program where your birthday child is the “star!” This party is appropriate for children ages 6 and up. Party includes all of the above except scavenger hunt.

Birthday Under the Stars can be scheduled at 10:00 am on Saturdays only (Planetarium program begins promptly at 10:30 am). Cost is $350 for up to 35 people. $75 of this fee will be held as a non-refundable deposit.

How to Register

Birthday parties are one of the many benefits of a Family membership. If you’re not a member now, but would like to hold a party at the museum, you can purchase a membership when you make your party arrangements. To book your party, call the Education Department at (216) 231-4600 ext. 3214.
