Organizers addressed:
NoM = Nature of Matter
F&M = Forces and Motion
NoE = Nature of Energy
Bringing Atoms Up to Size: NoM NoE (grades 4-12) Explore the unseen world of the atom using models, games, and activities that encourage students to act as scientists in uncovering the world around them. Activities and lesson plans include "Mystery Boxes," making models of the Bohr, and quantum atom, the "Bright Atom" model, a flame test kit, spectroscopes, and a crystal growing kit. The kit enables teachers and students to make the connections between the unseen world of the atom to minerals, crystals, and the stars in the sky.
Friction and Motion: F&M (grades 3-8) Hands-on materials to investigate friction and the laws of motion. Six complete sets of all experiments.
Light, Color and Optics: NoE (grades 3-8) For elementary classes. Lenses, mirrors, prisms and more. Everything your students need to explore the properties of light and color.
Magnets: NoM (grades PreK-4) Introductory kit containing classroom set of various magnets, iron filings, videos, and teachers' guide.
NASA F.I.R.S.T. Rocketry Kit: F&M NoE (grades 5-8) Your students will blast off into a multidisciplinary world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Water bottle rockets will be your vehicle for teaching and learning. The educators' guide provides many learning opportunities for your students, such as learning to build and launch bottle rockets, examining the composition of various materials, learning about astronauts through fact and playing cards, and exploring a scale model of NASA's Saturn V rocket.
Simple Machines: F&M (grades 3-8) Hands-on materials to investigate pulleys, wheel and axle, and levers. Includes teachers' guide and video.
Science of Sound: NoE (grades 2-5) Tuning forks, books, rattles and more to discover sound.
States of Matter: NoE (grades K-8) Use this kit to explore the chemical and physical changes of matter.
