Mentor Marsh Visitor Center and Programs

Mentor Marsh is an interpretive nature preserve of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History(CMNH) and the State of Ohio (ODNR) Division of Natural Areas and Preserves. Trails are open daily, year-round, dawn to dusk.

The Nature Center is open to the public with seasonal hours:
April through October, Sat & Sun, noon – 5 pm
November through March, first Sunday of the month:
11 am to 4 pm

A family nature program and hike is offered on Sundays from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. There is no charge, all are welcome, and registration is requested. Programs for groups are also available by appointment at a nominal charge.

Nature Center Hours

November thru March, first Sunday of the month from 11 am to 4 pm
April thru October, Saturdays and Sundays noon – 5 pm

We'll hike Kerven Trail to view winter greenery in the pine forest, and then return to the Nature Center to make pinecone bird feeders.

Hikes are free with registration at rdonalds@cmnh.org or (440) 257-0777. Please dress for the weather. Hot drinks are available back at the Nature Center following winter programs.

Mentor Marsh Saturday Science Program Schedule

Saturday Science is a family program geared toward kids at specified age levels. Each program starts at 10 am and ends at 11:30 am on the third Saturday of the month. The program includes a story, a hike and a craft or activity. Meet at the Mentor Marsh Nature Center at 5185 Corduroy Rd., Mentor OH, 44060.

Registration is required (440) 257-0777 or rdonalds@cmnh.org, and there is a limit of 20. Please dress for the weather – light rain or snow will not cancel the program. Insect repellent is recommended in season. One adult for every three children please.
