Areas of specialization or interest: Eastern North America/Ohio prehistory and archaeology, specifically ceramic analysis; settlement patterns; late prehistoric period (circa A.D. 1000-1650) in Midwest/Great Lakes area.

Current research:
Studying prehistoric cultural adaptations to the Lake Erie coast at the Danbury site in Marblehead, Ohio; late prehistoric village settlement patterns at White Fort site near Elyria and the OEC1 site in Independence. Ceramic analysis of Late Prehistoric Whittlesey and Sandusky tradition assemblages from Northeast Ohio. Study of the Hartley Mastodon unearthed near Salem, Ohio, in 2001.
