Areas of specialization or interest: Natural areas; conservation; native plants of Northeast Ohio; documentation of vascular plant distribution in northern Ohio, northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York based upon an active herbarium program; glacial history
Current research: Researching and mapping the flora of Presque Isle State Park, Penn., which harbors a significant number of rare plants. Studying the nature and distribution of ephemeral palustrine communities in Northern Ohio and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Pursuing priority fieldwork in areas having the greatest potential for harboring significant biotic communities or rare species.
