Regularly communicate with owners of high priority conservation areas discovered by the Museum during its 32-year inventory program.
Plan and conduct rare plant inventories throughout northeastern Ohio.
Plan and conduct breeding bird surveys on Museum Preserves.
Field responses to conservation outreach requests.
Conduct conservation appraisals to determine the presence of rare plants. Provide that conservation data to land managers, private landowners, urban planners, state agencies and county planners.
Gather satellite Global Positioning Systems (GPS) locations of rare plant populations throughout northern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania. Assist in the production of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) maps referencing this data.
Lead Member’s field trips to Museum Natural Areas
Assist with fundraising and grant writing.
