Assist with herbarium curatorial duties
Oversee Herbarium volunteers and Botany student interns;
Enter and maintain all plant records in the Museum Herbarium database
Assist with identification and incorporation of plant specimens for entry into the Museum's Herbarium
Assist in preparation of permit applications/reports and the annual Rare Plant Inventory of Western Pennsylvania grant

Work with Conservation Outreach staff to provide field responses to conservation outreach requests, to provide conservation data for preservation of natural areas, and to monitor and map rare plant populations;

Assist Conservation & Biodiversity staff with annual rare plant inventories and occasionally assists with stewardship work on Museum Natural Areas and high priority biodiversity sites.

Botany; Ohio’s natural history; distribution, ecology and conservation of Ohio’s native plants; promoting understanding of Ohio’s native plants and ecosystems to the public; restoration and maintenance of natural areas through stewardship and management techniques; sustainable living and effects of human impacts on the environment.
