We received a CD from Liz containing images of the research process and the environment in which the researchers are working. Here is a sampling of those images:

Trying to piece together a fossil Dust from sieving
Collecting fossils after surveying a site Once a hominid site is discovered, the first step is to line up and crawl across the site looking for any pieces of fossil.
Yohannes hands off a piece of an almost-complete horn core that he is excavating. Putting a plaster jacket on the fossils to help protect them when they remove it from the field.
