Woranso-Mille Project: March 6, 2007

March 6, 2007
We received a CD from Liz containing images of the research process and the environment in which the researchers are working. Here is the second series of those images:

Picking through a small pile of rocks that has been sieved. Sieving
Picking through rocks. One day, while surveying, a herd of camels came through the site to feed.

Surveying for fossils. The flag is used to mark the location of the fossils that are found. Later Yohannes goes back and collects the fossils and takes a GPS point of the location. Surveying for fossils.

This research was financially supported by the National Science Foundation, The Leakey Foundation, The Wenner-Gren Foundation, and The National Geographic Society.
