Vertebrate Paleontology:
Volunteer and Student Interns

The Vertebrate Paleontology Department has a long tradition of working with volunteers and students to help us accomplish all the tasks that go on in the department.  Projects that always require an Volunteer help include: 

• fossil preparation (including both fish and dinosaur fossils)
• assistance with collections (including cleaning, inventory, and data entry)
• casting and molding projects

The department also takes on Student Interns through the Museum’s Kirtlandia “Adopt-A-Student” program, and other student related program.  Typically the student’s are involved in a collection based research project that is geared towards producing a publishable scientific paper or presentation at a scientific meeting.
