Purchase Surgeon-Craftsman: Laurence Knight Groves, M.D. 1922 – 2007 and/or make a contribution to the Laurence Knight Groves Memorial Project
Contributors at the $500 level will receive two tickets to a wine and cheese reception at Groves Woods in Mesopotamia Township to celebrate the Museum's Natural Areas. Donors at the $1,000 level will receive four tickets. From the Grove's cabin, Natural Areas staff will provide guided hikes through the woods or, for those wanting a more leisurely tour, a stroll to a nearby pond to observe the dragonflies and damselflies that call Groves Wood their home. This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2009 (rain date July 11).
Laurence K. Groves was a world-class surgeon, master woodcarver/cabinet maker and a staunch supporter of The Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Surgeon-Craftsman: Laurence Knight Groves, M.D. 1922 – 2007 serves as a permanent record of his remarkable accomplishments and a memorial to a life well lived.
