Recycling at the Museum | Cell Phone Recycling

It’s your call. Bring your old cell phones to the Museum today and preserve the environment for tomorrow.

It’s easy to recycle your phones at the Museum. Simply bring your unwanted cell phones, and any chargers or cell phone accessories, to the Protection Services desk across from the admissions area, located to the right as you enter the main doors, during regular Museum hours.

Cell phones are collected and sent to a recycling facility in Northeast Ohio where they are tested. Reusable cell phones are reconditioned and sold. Phones that cannot be refurbished are dismantled. The recyclable materials are harvested and any waste is disposed of properly in accordance with current EPA regulations—nothing is put in a landfill.

Your responsible cell phone disposal is helping the environment and the community. The Museum receives a small donation for the phones. These proceeds support our general operations and allow us to continue our mission to be a center for regional sustainability.

Thank you for your donation!
