The Micromineral Society

The Micromineral Society is for those interested in the study and appreciation of mineral specimens that require the use of magnification for viewing.

Members share and extend their knowledge of minerals by attending shows, going on field trips, donating specimens and volunteering in support of the Museum’s important micromineral collection.

The Micromineral Society also organizes a symposium each year in early November. You can view information on the 2009 Micromineral Symposium to be held November 6, 7, and 8, 2009.

Meetings

The Micromineral Society meets at 1 pm on the fourth Saturday of each month.
