Volunteering at the Museum

Why Volunteer?

Volunteers are vital to the Museum. They willingly provide their time and talents behind the scenes and with the public. In return, they receive the satisfaction of seeing their contributions make a difference.

Whatever your interests are, there’s a volunteer position for you at the Museum. Positions are available in collections, research, special events, public relations, staff support, education and retail.

We want the experiences our volunteers have at the Museum to be as rewarding as possible. So we provide all new volunteers with an orientation and whatever training they might need.

How to Become a Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer is easy:
1. Complete our Volunteer Application and submit it one of two ways:
    • Online
    • Print it, then either fax it to (216) 231-5919 or mail it to: Volunteers, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, 1 Wade Oval Drive, University Circle, Cleveland, OH 44106

2. Individual Membership to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is required.
