Materials for Loan

The Science Resource Center has more than 4,000 educational items available for loan. These include dioramas, DVDs, thematic teaching kits, and additional materials such as microscopes and activity guides. Download the SRC Guide to see the full list of materials and resources available to members.

One of our most popular rental items is the STARLAB® Portable Planetarium! This cross-curricular teaching tool includes everything needed to present interactive, exciting lessons: an inflatable dome, projector, fan and accessories. Available topics include: Starfield with Milky Way, Biological Cell (mitosis and meiosis), Constellations, African Mythology, Native American Mythology, Greek Mythology and World Geography. The dome can fit 25 to 35 people and is wheelchair accessible. Training is required to rent the portable planetarium. Visit the Educator Workshops page to see upcoming training sessions. Rental Fee: $40 per day for SRC members, $50 per day for nonmembers

A History of Supporting Teachers

This is the Science Resource Center's 26th successful year in serving the teaching community of Northeast Ohio! The SRC received start-up funds from the The East Ohio Gas Company and The Standard oil Company, and opened in January, 1986.

Support the Science Resource Center

Donation will be used to enhance the operations of the SRC, such as updating loan kits for classroom use, providing workshops for teachers, creating new lesson plans and more.
