While you and I don’t look all that similar to the fossils in this display case, we are all tetrapods! Tetrapods have four distinct limbs and a series of vertebrae running the length of the spine. Like all forms of life, they made the transition from water to land—a monumental journey of millions of years that culminated in the ecosystems found on Earth today.
