PRESENTER: Nancy Howell, Western Cuyahoga Audubon Society
Join the Friends of CMNH on the second Saturday of each month at 10am for coffee and conversation, followed at 10:30am by the Friends of CMNH Science Series.
Birders and researchers have long been fascinated by the diversity of migratory birds passing through northern Ohio. In this presentation, Nancy Howell will take a slightly different approach to migration.
Not only will we review some migratory species, but we will also ask: Why such a diversity of species? When did migration through northern Ohio begin? What influences the migratory routes of birds? In addition, we’ll look at technology today that helps birders and researchers determine when there will be a good birding day...or not.
This event is open to the public. Registration is required, whether you plan to attend the 10:30am talk in person or virtually. The deadline to register is 5pm the day before the program. You will receive a Zoom link the day before the presentation.
Refreshments will be served.
