Into the Wild

Get a behind-the-scenes look at animal care at the Museum.

Embark on an exclusive journey through the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s living collections with our Into the Wild tour. This in-depth experience will take you behind the scenes to explore the Museum’s commitment to conservation and animal care.

Your adventure will begin in our Natural Areas Gallery, where you'll learn about Ohio’s diverse ecosystems and the Museum’s efforts to protect them. Then, step into our Wildlife Resource Center for a rare look at how our specialists care for resident animal ambassadors, from daily enrichment to veterinary care. Finally, enjoy an insider’s tour of the Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden—Presented by KeyBank, home to Ohio-native species such as red-tailed hawks, bobcats, North American river otters, red foxes, and more. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of these animals and the vital roles they play in our environment.

Each tour includes a meet-and-greet with a surprise animal ambassador.
