Fantastically fun learning opportunities for all ages.
Museum summer camps are the perfect place for your child to discover something new or to continue exploring their passion for science and nature. For children in rising 1st-8th grade, our summer camps offer exciting week-long opportunities to get curious about science and nature. In recent years, our campers have created art, walked a stream, received a personalized laser-cut nameplate, made fossil jackets, ridden a historic carousel, run the bases, met with the Museum’s exhibits team, got up close to real Museum displays and artifacts, designed and created museum displays of their own—and much more!
In addition, high school students are invited to join us for Museum Career Days—an exciting opportunity to learn about what it’s like to work at a natural history museum. These one-day camps are a unique opportunity for high school students to meet Museum staff from various departments, including scientists, educators, curators, wildlife specialists, archivists, and others. Plus, participants get a behind-the-scenes look at some Museum spaces usually open only to staff and researchers.
Camp registration will open in early January 2025. Check back for information about our 2025 summer experiences!
