Join staff of the Museum’s Natural Areas division as we clean up Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve!
Mentor Marsh is a jewel in the ecological crown of Northeast Ohio. We’ll meet at the parking lot of Headlands Beach State Park, right next door to the marsh. As we walk to our work site, Dr. David Kriska, the Museum’s Restoration Ecologist, will offer a brief introduction to the marsh, describing its history, its significance as a habitat, and providing an update on the award-winning restoration underway at the marsh. Then we’ll clean things up! Museum staff will be there, too, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the marsh.
We hope you’ll join us for a fun and informative afternoon of learning and (easy) labor. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
