Mentor Marsh Guided Nature Hike: Big Trees at the Marsh

Hike the Zimmerman Trail with us as we seek out giant sugar maples, white and red oaks, cucumber magnolias, and even some large understory tree specimens along the forested rim of Mentor Marsh. We’ll practice tree identification and share tips along the way!

About Mentor Marsh Guided Nature Hikes

The Carol H. Sweet Nature Center is located at 5185 Corduroy Road in Mentor. From November through March, a naturalist will staff the Nature Center from 11am to 4pm on the first Sunday of the month. From April through October, the Nature Center will be staffed from noon to 5pm on Sundays.

Guided, family-friendly nature hikes are offered every Sunday at 2pm. Meet at the Nature Center unless otherwise indicated. Our programs are a go in all but severe weather, so please come prepared for the weather conditions. We recommend long pants and sturdy shoes, as some trails may be muddy.
