Join the Friends of CMNH on the second Saturday of each month at 10am for coffee, refreshments, and conversation, followed at 10:30am by the Friends of CMNH Science Series.
This will be an engaging talk by Refka Abroug, an emerging global leader from Tunisia, a North African country along the Mediterranean coast. She is a Fellow at Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners through the U.S. State Dept. IREX Community Engagement Exchange program.
In this compelling presentation, Refka brings Tunisia’s water crisis to life through storytelling, innovation, and personal experience. Blending her background in engineering, international work, and performance, she offers a unique perspective on one of today’s most urgent environmental challenges. From grassroots initiatives to forward-thinking solutions, she will share how young people are driving change and what it takes to turn awareness into action. This presentation will challenge how you see water, sustainability, and global responsibility.
This event is open to the public. Registration is required, whether you plan to attend the 10:30am talk in person or virtually. You will receive the Zoom link in your registration confirmation email.
