Join us for a jaw-some day on July 18 for Shark Shenanigans, celebrating sharks, ocean science, and aquatic biodiversity.

Bite into the sea-riously cool world of sharks in honor of Shark Week. From prehistoric giants to modern-day species, uncover the science behind these incredible creatures. Learn how to protect them, their habitat, and the waterways in your own community.

Activities

Shark Shenanigans features special activities provided by the Museum and community partners, including:

  • Get hands-on with real shark teeth and learn about shark diving with Greater Cleveland Aquarium
  • Play interactive games and win prizes while learning about Lake Erie ecosystems with Ohio Sea Grant
  • Search through the sand for shark teeth and uncover clues about prehistoric and ocean life (plus keep your finds!)
  • Pledge to help protect our oceans, rivers, and lakes for wildlife and future generations
  • Meet live aquatic animals and discover the diversity of life found in underwater ecosystems
