Backyard Wilderness follows a young girl, Katie, who lives with her family in a suburban home near the woods. Absorbed in their busy lives and electronic devices, Katie’s family members are blind to the spectacle unfolding in their own backyard. As Katie gradually uncovers the marvels of nature, you’ll share in the unexpected joy she finds in connecting to this hidden world. Spanning a full year, the film showcases stunning wildlife imagery captured by cameras mounted in dens and nests or moving along the forest floor—revealing the inhabitants in breathtaking detail.
