Coming Soon to Shafran Planetarium
In honor of the 20th anniversary of Pluto’s reclassification, come along and explore what makes a planet, a planet!
From orbit and size to formation, to even other space objects, discover how scientists determine which objects in space are considered planets. With Pluto at the center of this story, we’ll meet other celestial characters—known as dwarf planets—and see how evolving definitions have reshaped our understanding of our Solar System.
