Our helpful animal ambassadors have a thing or two to teach us about how they live! This program is an in-depth exploration of basic needs and how every living thing meets those needs differently.

Ohio’s Learning Standards 

Pre-Kindergarten

Science – Science Inquiry and Application 

  • Explore and investigate objects and events in the environment.
  • Develop ability to reason about cause and effect. 

Kindergarten

Life Science – Physical and Behavioral Traits of Living Things

  • Living things have specific characteristics and traits.
  • Living things have physical traits and behaviors, which influence their survival. 

Grade 1

Life Science – Basic Needs of Living Things

  • Living things have basic needs, which are met by obtaining materials from the physical environment.
  • Living things survive only in environments that meet their needs.

Guided, Assembly, and Live Animal Programs ($15/student, PreK-12, $300 minimum fee for fewer than 20 students) Important note: Lunch space is limited.

We recommend staying no more than 2.5 hours including a program and lunch break.

Are you a Title 1 school in Ohio (the number of economically disadvantaged students is 40% or above)? You can check under school details at Ohio School Report Cards. Title 1 schools in Ohio may qualify for free programming, first come first served while grant funding lasts.
