Students will investigate the formations and processes shaping the planetary surface. Active geological forces of flowing streams are paired with real specimens to bring to life the power of our dynamic Earth.

Ohio's Learning Standards 

Grade 3

Earth and Space Science – Earth's Resources 

  • Earth’s nonliving resources have specific properties. Rocks have specific characteristics that allow them to be sorted and compared. Rocks form in different ways.
  • Earth’s resources can be used for energy. 

Grade 4

Earth and Space Science – Earth's Surface 

  • Earth’s surface has specific characteristics and landforms that can be identified.
  • The surface of Earth changes due to weathering.
  • The surface of Earth changes due to erosion and deposition. 

Grade 4

Life Science – Earth's Living History 

  • Fossils can be compared to one another and to present-day organisms according to their similarities and differences.

Guided, Assembly, and Live Animal Programs ($15/student, PreK-12, $300 minimum fee for fewer than 20 students) Important note: Lunch space is limited.
