This month, Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s President and CEO, Sonia Winner, has been recognized with the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Neighborhood Leadership Award by University Circle, Inc (UCI). This award “honors a person, family, or organization that has made significant contributions to University Circle and the Greater University Circle Neighborhoods.” It further highlights the recipient’s impact on life in and around the Circle, and their efforts to increase accessibility, collaboration, and enjoyment.
The influence of Winner’s outstanding leadership is clear in her vision for the Museum, particularly as we head toward our Grand Opening this December. At more than 100 years old, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History remains an anchor of Cleveland’s cultural sector and one of the key institutions that make University Circle such a vibrant hub for learning and togetherness.
Winner’s many contributions are consistent with UCI’s mission of building a community experience that connects all people with Cleveland’s center of culture, healing, and learning. She is creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience on Wade Oval—one that will enrich the cultural life of Clevelanders while elevating University Circle’s profile in Northeast Ohio and around the world.
We invite you to read more about this award and learn about Sonia’s nomination.
Congratulations Sonia!
