The Museum is proud to share that Astronomer Monica Marshall has been recognized as one of Crain’s Cleveland Business’ 40 Under 40 honorees. This award celebrates outstanding young professionals from various industries and highlights dynamic leaders making a difference in our region.
Since joining the Museum in 2023, Marshall has established herself as a leader in science communication. Merging her passion for the Earth and the galaxies beyond, Marshall’s energetic speaking style and welcoming presence enhance her ability to simplify complex scientific ideas and connect with audiences. She served as a key spokesperson during the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, helping to educate and inform audiences across the country. Today, Marshall continues to offer engaging programs in the Museum’s Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium.
Marshall first fell in love with the stars through a high school astronomy class. While still nurturing her growing interest in the field, she earned a B.A. in sustainability studies and counseling psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Her dedication to science communication and outreach has undoubtedly made an impact in Cleveland and beyond. We invite those with Crain's Cleveland Business subscriptions to read more on their website.
