CLEVELAND, OH—January 29, 2026—The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Riddle as its first Chief Digital Information Officer, effective January 7, 2026.

Riddle brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior information technology leader, with deep expertise in digital strategy, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and organizational governance. In his new role, he will oversee the Museum’s Information Technology department and serve as a key member of the institution’s senior leadership team.

Riddle joins the Museum from College Now Greater Cleveland, where he served as Senior Director of Information Technology. Prior to this role, he served as Manager of Information Technology at JumpStart, Inc., and as Manager of Information Technology Services at College Now. Riddle also served as a Strategic IT Advisor in 2024, volunteering his expertise to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Museum’s IT governance, cybersecurity posture, and operational readiness in advance of its Grand Opening. His work helped strengthen the institution’s digital foundation during a pivotal moment in its transformation.

In his role as Chief Digital Information Officer, Riddle will be responsible for developing and executing an enterprise-wide technology strategy that supports operational excellence, protects institutional assets, and delivers strong return on investment. He will also act as a subject-matter expert across the organization, ensuring technology solutions align with the Museum’s scientific, educational, and visitor-focused goals.

“Chris brings a rare combination of strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaborative leadership,” said Sonia Winner, President & CEO of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. “As we continue to expand our technology-enhanced exhibits, programs, and educational experiences, his leadership will be critical to ensuring the Museum’s mission and long-term success.”
