This Juneteenth, join the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in celebrating with a special drum workshop and performance along with discounted $19 general admission.

During this event, Djapo Cultural Arts Institute will lead an interactive “make-and-take” box drum workshop where participants will create their own drums and learn foundational rhythms. These drums will then be incorporated into a collaborative performance, allowing for an engaging, participatory experience that blends music, dance, and cultural storytelling.

Tickets

Participation in the drum workshop from 12:30–1:30pm is free, but registration is required.

Please note that tickets to the drum workshop do not include general admission to the Museum. General admission tickets are required to access the galleries.

Discounted $19 general admission is available from 10am–5pm. Skip the line and ensure a smooth arrival experience by reserving your tickets in advance!

In the Wolof language, Djapo means, “Together."
