Virtual Field Trips & Learning Experiences
Connect to the Museum from home or school with our award-winning virtual programs!
We have expanded our technology and offerings to provide even more virtual programs that fit your schedule and curriculum needs. Formerly known as Interactive Video Conference programs (IVC), these programs have earned the Pinnacle Award from the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) every school year since 2009. Your students can access our programs through our secure Zoom account, dedicated video-conference systems, or Google Meet.
Congratulations to the Museum's Education team for being named one of CILC's 2023–2024 Pinnacle Award Winners!

2. Enter the name of your school in the search box and click on your school.
3. On the next page, click on the “School at a Glance” dropdown menu near the top middle of the page and select “School Detail.” 4. Technology Requirements
What your students need if connecting from home
To connect to our Virtual Field Trips & Learning Experiences from home, each student needs an internet connection and a laptop, tablet, or phone.
Students must wear appropriate attire at all times. Clothing with inappropriate language, racial slurs, or anything that would be considered inappropriate in a school setting is not allowed. Appropriate tops and bottoms must be worn.
What you need if connecting from your classroom
Option one: H.323 connections Do you already have a video-conferencing system (codec) available, such as Polycom, LifeSize, or Cisco? Then you’re set! See below for scheduling information and please set up a test connection with us before your program date.
Option two: Web conference connections If you don’t have access to a video-conferencing system, an alternative is to use Web Conference Connections. To do so, you will need the following in your classroom:
Go to zoom.us/download on your device and download the appropriate software. To ensure our studios can connect to your school, the Museum uses its own Zoom account and our educators will send you the meeting ID number & password once your program date/time has been scheduled. Your Museum educator can set up a test connection with you prior to your program if needed.
In the unlikely event of connection problems on the day of your program:
