CLEVELAND—December 15, 2025—The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is delighted to present The Art of Science Communication with Ira Flatow on Friday, January 23, 2026. This special event invites audiences to explore how science can be made accessible, engaging, and meaningful through storytelling, media, and public dialogue.
Ira Flatow is an award-winning science correspondent, television journalist, and the longtime host of Science Friday, the popular public radio program heard weekly on more than 500 stations nationwide. Over the course of his career, Flatow has worked to make science and technology user-friendly and approachable, describing his mission as “making science a topic for discussion around the dinner table.”
During this moderated Q&A, Flatow will reflect on his decades-long career in science communication and share insights into how effective storytelling can inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and encourage audiences to care about global issues. As part of the Linda and Les Vinney Know Your World Lecture Series, this program highlights the critical role communication plays in connecting people to science and the natural world.
