
CLEVELAND, OH—August 28, 2026—This September, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the transformed Ralph Perkins II Wildlife Center & Woods Garden—Presented by KeyBank. Throughout the month, Perkins10 will recognize a decade of connecting visitors with Ohio’s native wildlife through special programs, up-close learning opportunities, and a weekend of anniversary events for members and families!

Member Night: Perkins10 | Friday, September 11
Museum members are invited to experience Perkins after hours with special activities, intimate access, and opportunities to connect with the Wildlife staff who know the animals best.
Tickets: Free for Museum members; registration is required. This is a members-only event.
Museum Family Day: Perkins10 | Saturday, September 12
Families and community members are invited to celebrate the Perkins Wildlife Center and its animal ambassadors with a full day of hands-on fun! Activities will include face painting, animal encounters, story time, hands-on crafts, interactive activities, and community partners.
Tickets: All Family Day activities are included with general Museum admission. Residents of Cleveland, East Cleveland, Brooklyn, Euclid, Garfield Heights, Maple Heights, and Warrensville Heights receive free admission on Saturdays and Sundays through Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Days with proof of address. Advance general-admission tickets receive a $3 discount.
Perkins10 Family Yoga | Sunday, September 13
Celebrate Perkins10 with a 30-minute family yoga session in the Nathan and Fannye Shafran Planetarium. Open to kids and adults of all ages, the program will feature animal poses, fun movement, and a quiet, meditative book reading. Participants will enjoy this special Perkins10 family yoga experience plus admission to the Museum for the day at one ticket price. Doors open at 9am, and the program begins at 9:30am.
Tickets: Museum members are free; general admission rates apply for nonmembers. Tickets include Museum admission after yoga concludes. Advance registration recommended.
Throughout September, visitors can discover more about the Museum’s animal ambassadors through special daily wildlife talks highlighting their unique personalities, remarkable adaptations, husbandry, training, and enrichment. Guests may even have the opportunity to observe feeding or enrichment in action. Each talk lasts approximately 15 minutes and takes place at rotating locations throughout the Perkins Wildlife Center.
