Molecular Paleontology Lab

The Museum’s molecular paleontology lab is equipped for the preparation of fossil samples for molecular analyses. This lab is separate from our molecular lab to minimize contamination. It contains a homogenizer, a centrifuge, an oven, a refrigerator and freezer (-20°C), and supply storage. It is set up for the preparation of samples for paleoproteomics before they are sent to be analyzed using mass spectrometry.
